"Creating a Path for College Success"
History
Pathways 4 Teens is headquartered in Gilbert, Arizona. It was founded in 2010 by Miriam Phillips-Gill, a graduate of Stanford University. She founded the business after going through the college application process with her oldest son who was accepted into every college that he applied to including Harvard, MIT, and Stanford. She was astonished by all of the research that the process took and she felt compelled to share her knowledge about the high school experience and college admissions process with others.
Ongoing Research
In this ever changing world, our services are based on ongoing research with teens, parents, educators, and counselors.
Since 2010, we have worked with students who have chosen community colleges, technical schools, and four year institutions including public schools through ivy leagues. Our direct research with teens includes interviews with students who have been accepted into a variety of private, as well as, public universities such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Duke, Boston University, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University to Name a few.
A key part of what makes our program successful is the practical advice from teens and parents who have been through the process of preparing for and selecting colleges. We utilize teen and parent mentors to provide firsthand accounts of their experiences.
In addition, we spend hours upon hours researching educational options along with their advantages and disadvantages.
We also utilize the latest academic research on what it really takes for teens to succeed.
